SO I actually did something. It's supposed to be me (again), so I'm scrapping the other one in favor of this, because I think it's more well thought-out. Here's the story:

The Sumiyashi family's signature jutsu involve the manipulation of large volumes of ink imbued with chakra; they can create somewhat solid objects (weapons, animals, etc) with the ink and use them in battle. That's what the little creature is: a creation from the ink. The ink is also indelible (unless removed by the user), so all of Konoha's major legal documents are written and signed in it. This makes the Sumiyashi family a very important part of the Leaf Village's bureaucracy as a member of the family is present at the writing and signing of every important document--treaties, declarations of war, etc. However, this also makes them a target of some suspicion since they have inside access to such classified information.

Kuromi's ink isn't entirely black: it has a slightly purple hue. The color varies with the user; it changes due to personality (or in some cases, just the user's favorite color).

The Sumiyashi are a small but old family in Konohagakure (Kuromi has a mother, father, and older brother.)

Enjoy it! I think I've gotten at least a little bit better.
